What to Know Before Your Appointment

First-Time Guests

  • Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for paperwork and consultation.

  • For safety reasons, children are not permitted in the studio. My workspace contains electrical equipment and professional tools that must be handled with care. Unless we discuss otherwise.

  • Fill out the online form to the best of your knowledge, add as much detail as possible and anything extra as this really helps me with your service.

Returning Guests

  • Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. You will be guided back to the treatment room promptly.

Health & Safety Considerations

Certain conditions, medications, and recent treatments may affect whether or not services can be safely performed. Please inform me prior to your appointment if any of the following apply:

  • Recent professional treatments: dermatological procedures, surgical esthetics, waxing, strong chemical peels, or aggressive exfoliation.

  • Pregnancy & Nursing: currently pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

  • Medications: oral (blood thinners, acne medications, antibiotics, steroids), or topical (acne prescriptions, antibiotics, steroids, retinoids, Vitamin A).

  • Medical Conditions: heart problems, pacemaker, high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, diabetes, or other systemic disorders.

  • Cancer & Related Treatments: active cancer, precancerous lesions, undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.

  • Contagious Concerns: viral, bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infections, fever blisters.

  • Skin & Healing Concerns: open lesions, wounds, recent sunburn, tanning bed use, or loss of tactile sensation.

  • Other Factors: metal implants, dental implants, or facial piercings in the treatment area.

Before Your Facial or Advanced Service

To achieve the best results:

  • Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, and harsh scrubs for at least 3–5 days prior.

  • Do not use tanning beds, self-tanners, or have prolonged sun exposure for at least one week prior.

  • Refrain from waxing, threading, or hair removal treatments on the face 48 hours prior.

  • Stay well-hydrated and arrive with clean skin (no heavy makeup if possible).

Aftercare & What to Expect

Following treatment, your skin may be more sensitive than usual. To protect your results:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF daily.

  • Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, and excessive sweating for 24–48 hours.

  • Avoid harsh skincare products (exfoliants, retinoids, Vitamin C, or acne medications) for 3–5 days unless otherwise instructed.

  • Keep skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer.

  • Do not pick, scratch, or touch the treated area excessively.

  • Some normal, temporary side effects may include redness, tightness, mild breakouts, or sensitivity.

Please Note

Everyone’s skin is unique and responds differently to treatments. Healing and results can vary depending on factors such as overall health, hormones, homecare routine, environment, work conditions, nutrition, smoking, alcohol consumption, stress levels, medications, and the use of new products or services.

It is normal to experience temporary reactions after a service, which may include redness, tightness, breakouts, sensitivity, or mild irritation. These are common responses and do not necessarily indicate an adverse reaction. While I always do my best to ensure your comfort and safety, results and responses cannot be guaranteed.

Aftercare is an essential part of your healing process and achieving the best possible outcome. Following the recommended aftercare will greatly support your results.

If you ever experience something unexpected or are unsure about your skin’s response, please do not hesitate to send me photos along with a description so I can guide you. For anything severe or concerning, please contact your physician immediately.

I am here to support you every step of the way.
